Shanghai International Autocity Development Co., Ltd. Was founded on 24th July, 2001. It was jointly set up by Shanghai Automotive Industry (Group) Corporation, Shanghai Brilliance (Group) Corporation, Shanghai Jiading Anting Investment Corporation, Shanghai New Anting Development Co., Ltd. and Chinese Association of Automobile Manufactures.

SIAC is the sole developer designated by government for the construction of Central Business Area of Shanghai International Automobile City.
